Hi, Rick.
This is Frankie. Connie had just responded to the message I had posted about
the exchange with Ms. Swint.
Here is the census info I sent her (and to which she responded by asking why
I emailing and to stop bothering her):
"I found a JESSE A CASSIDY, age 49 (b. ca 1887) in KY, listed in the 1930
Census in Lewis County, Kentucky; wife's name LACY, age 39, with children
Cecil 14, Charles 10, Elizabeth 7, William 2 yrs. 1 Month; all b. in KY and
parents of Jesse and Lacy born in KY. Jesse and Lacy married about a23 years
earlier (ages 20 and 16) which would have been about 1907. Jesse was a
laborer on "Steam Railroad".
"If this sounds like your husband's family, you could backtrack them. If you
would like for me to attempt this, I will. -Frankie"
My husband's line which includes Cassity, Cassidy, Caskey among others is
centered around Morgan County, Kentucky. However, I have not really
researched any of these lines thoroughly. If YOUR line connects with the
PERRY, DYER, CASKEY, COTTLE or ADAMS lines in Morgan County, I will be happy
to share the information that I have with you or others.

Hi Connie,
I don't know or understand how this could have happened!? You see I AM
Rickie Edward Cassidy and my wife's name is Patti! Not getting smart or
anything but I am also a member of these groups..all the names you mentioned
are correct with the exception of Brenda Swint...If you could would you send
me the information you have on my family and I will campare it to the
information I have, and I can possibly fill in the blanks for you.
Thank You,
Rick Cassidy

A very weird thing happened to me.
A Brenda Swint (name on "From") wrote to me on August 17, asking: "My
husband's name is Rickie Edward Cassidy, Sr. His father was Virgil Edward
Cassidy, Sr. His grandfather, who we just found out about, was Jesse
Cassidy. His grandmother was Lacy Mae Pruitt Cassidy Lewis. Do you have
any information on this family?"
I didn't get back to her until Sept. 5, when I wrote saying that I didn't
recognize the names and asked if she had dates or places that would help me
make a connection.
I received a prompt, but brief reply of "No".
Thinking I would help, I searched Ancestry and found some Lewis County,
Kentucky census data that seemed to be this family and sent it to Ms. Swint,
asking if this were the family she was looking for and offering to help her
find more if she needed help.
Her response? To write in bold type, all caps: "Why are you emailing me
about this family? Stop bothering me."
Have any of the rest of you run across this lady?
How does the saying go? "No good deed goes unpunished."
