Dear Linda,
A very nice lady by the name of Noretta Wells told me that Matilda is the
daughter of Reuben Cassity. I asked her for what proof she has, and I have
not heard from her yet. She is busy as we all are. She may have gotten her
info from someone else, again I am not sure. If I find anything I will let
you know.
Lisa

Lisa,
How reliable is your source showing Matilda as the daughter of Reuben and
Elizabeth? At this point, I can't tell you which, or how many, researchers
have shown Matilda as the daughter of Peter and Margaret, but judging from
the names she gave to her children, it may be that she *is* the daughter
of
Reuben. Please let me know if you find documented proof of her
parentage,
or
even if you find the circumstantial evidence proves we should make a
change.
Linda

was
born in KY around 1820-1824. She married an Isaac Ellington on
6-21-1839
in
Morgan County, KY. On the Cassity web site, her parents are listed
as
Peter
Cassity and a Margaret ? I was told by others that her parents are
Reuben
Cassity and Elizabeth Brown. Complicating matters are the fact that all
of
these Cassitys are siblings born ca 1774-1790. Does anyone have
proof of
who Matilda's real parents are? Any clues?
