Am seeking information on descendants of Charles Cassell b. Genoa, Italy
in 1793, son of Benjamin(Beniamino?)Cassell of that city. Charles Cassell
was married in a Catholic church in Washington DC in 1822 to Sarah Walker
Murray. They moved to Portsmouth Va. where Charles Cassell was a Master
Sailmaker, dying in 1855. He and Sarah had 3 surviving children,
Virginius, Charlie and Alexander Wadsworth Cassell. Alexander was cut
out of his mother's will for unknown reasons and his exisitence was only
recently discovered. He married Mary Ann White in the 1850's and died
in Portsmouth in 1897.
Alexander's son Alexander Edwin Wadsworth Cassell married Mida Arnold and
had 5 children. Am seeking any of their desendants, possibly also
connected with the Foiles family of Portsmouth.
