Research Notes for Elias Cassil
He was a very kind, congenial, loving man and always looked on the bright
side of life.[68]
He attended the wedding of Charles Parker Johnson and his daughter, Myrtle
Lee Cassil; [26] is named in the death record of Myrtle Lee Cassil; [35] in
the application of Myrtle Lee Cassil for her social security account; [41]
named in an interview with Cheryle Cassil; [50] identified in the
photograph, "The Phillip Ward Cassil Family;"
A journeyman was a person who served as an apprentice until the age of
twenty-one, usually in carpentry of cabinetmaking. At that age, he was
named journeyman, "an apt designation for many tried various locations
before settling down to a permanent place of business."[174]
The death record of Myrtle Lee Cassil suggests that he was born in MO;[35]
but other evidence supports OH as his birthplace.[65]
