CASSIL
Euda Hampton Cassil, 92, Jamestown, died July 24, 2000, at St. Marys Health
Center.
She was born Feb. 22, 1908, in Jamestown, a daughter of William E. and
Biddie Viola Gatschet Nickles. She was married March 24, 1926, in Jamestown,
to William Bruce Hampton, who died Jan. 26, 1976. She was married Sept. 1,
1984, to Arnold Cassil, who died Aug. 21, 1988.
She attended Moniteau County Schools. She was a member of Grace United
Methodist Church, Jamestown, and the Women's Society. She was a member of
the American Association of Retired Persons and a 59-year member of
California Chapter 521 Order of Eastern Star. A homemaker, she was a
lifelong resident of the area.
Survivors include: three sons, William Bruce "Dick" Hampton, Melvern, Kan.,
David Hampton, California, and Nick Hampton, Florence; one daughter, Patsy
Hampton Huth, Jefferson City; one stepson, A.L. Cassil Jr., California; two
stepdaughters, Dorothy Dietzel and Shirley Schlup, both of Jamestown; one
sister, Kathryn Loeb, Longboat Key, Fla.; seven grandchildren; 11
great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Grace United Methodist Church. The
Rev. Jerry Moon will officiate. Burial will be in Grace United Methodist
Church Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. today at Bowlin-Cantriel Funeral Home,
California, with an Eastern Star service at 7:30 p.m.
