Hi Rooters,
I have a similar problem to that noted below of locating and identifying a
Jacob Cassel in my descending lineage search. My Greatgrandfather Reverend
Jacob M Cassel was born in MD, married an Elizabeth Ann Miller, 22 Sep 1868
in Williams Co., Ohio and he died 26 August 1890 in Findlay,Ohio at the age
of 43yrs,4mos and 26 days. As near as I can determine they had six
children; Edith, J.M., Mable B.,Ethel, Bertha Lois (my link), and Jean
during the period 1872 to 1888. Their son was born in IL. and the daughters
in OH. He was reportedly the son of Jacob Cassel, b; abt 1796 in PA. and
Sophia ?______?, b; abt 1806 in MD., but to date I am unable to confirm
this. The latter Jacob Cassel was listed as living in Millcreek Twp.,
Williams Co.,OH in the 1860 & 1870 Federal Census.
At any rate, I trust this may help fill a gap in someones research and in
turn perhaps I'll be able to find Rev Jacob M. Cassel's birthplace, his
parents and siblings. TIA. Help is always welcome, either by postings or
private Email. Cheers.

Hello all...
Thanks to everyone for all your patience with this! I am looking for
information concerning the Cassell family in Maryland...late 1700's, early
1800's. Here's a bit of what I have...
Jacob Cassell...b. about 1796...died 1830's? married a ? Devilbiss. They
had 3 sons and a daughter.
Chelnissa D. Cassel (1823-1888) married John Quincy Adams in Harrison
County, Ohio. Died in El Paso, Woodford County, Illinois.
Any help would be appreciated!
