WILL OF HENRY CASSILL (SR.)
In the name of GOD, Amen.
I Henry Cassill Senior of the State of Ohio and County of Ross being of perfect health
and memory do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament. In testimony where of I
have hereunto set my hand and seal this 1811. First of all I _____ commend my soul to
Almighty GOD who gave one existence and my body to be buried in a decent manner trusting
in GOD that my soul shall rest in happiness. First I give and bequeath unto my Dear wife
Rachael all the benefit of all my land and her house furniture to after my just debts are
p[aid off and a deed made unto Abraham my son for which he has my bond and after the death
of marriage of my wife I give and bequeath unto the following children Abraham and Henry
my sons and Easther and Susanna daughters all my land that I may die possesses of and all
my horses, cattle of every kind sheep and Hoggs unto the above named four children and
also what money there may be due to me to be equally divided between them fair the whole
of my Estate I reccommend it to my Executors to dispose of all my the stock that may be on
the place at my decease at a long credit for the benefit of my youngest children Esther
and Susan my two daughters. Lastly what money maybe charged on my books against any of my
sons or daughters the same to be ______ _________
out of their share of who stands so charged on my books. It is to be understood that the
four mentioned legatees are to have each and equal fourth part of my Estate which maybe
left at my decease and I desire it of my worthy friend John Moffett and Rachel my wife the
two whom I have appointed to be my acting Executors of this my last Will and Testament and
I desire so without any doubts but what every desire of mine will be carefully attended to
by my Executors in testamony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this year of our
Lord One thousand Eight hundred and Eleven. Dated this Seventeenth day of Feb. Onethousand
eight hundred and eleven.

Know all men by these presents that we William Ayers, Abraham Wilbur and Simon Perry
all of Jackson County and State of Ohio are held and firmly bound unto William Ransom
Treasurer of the county aforesaid or his successors in office in the penal sum of 5
hundred dollars current money to the payment of which well and truely to be made to the
said Treasurer or his successors in office we bind ourselves our heirs executors and
administrators jointly and severally firlmly by these presents. Witness our hands and
seals this 9th day of March 1824 whereas William Ayers hath been appointed administrator
with the will annexed of all and singular the goods and chattels which were of Henry
Cassill dec. late of said County. Now the condition of the above obligation is such that
if the above bound William Ayers administrator as aforesaid shall and will faithfully
perform all the duties required of him by law then this obligation to be void, otherwise
to remain in full force and virtue.

Know all men by these presents that we Rachel Cassill, Abraham Cassill, Thomas Scott
and John Delay all of Jackson Co., Ohio are held and firmly bound into Charles O'Neil
Treasurer of the County aforesaid or his successors in office in the penal sum of six
hundred dollars current money to the payment of which well and truly to be made to the
said Treasurer or his successors we bind ourselves our heirs executors and administrators
jointly and severely firmly by these presents. Witness our hands and seals this 15th day
of March, 1819. Whereas the court of Common Pleas have this day appointed the above bound
Abraham Cassill Administrator and Rachel Cassill Administratrix of all and singular the
goods and chattels which were of Henry Cassill late of said county deceased. Now the
condition of the above obligation is such that if the above bound Rachel and Abraham
Cassill Administratrix and Administrator as aforesaid shall and will faithfully perform
all the duties required of them by law, then this
obligation to be void, otherwise to remain in force and virtue.
