I'm looking for folks who are researching any of these spellings, or similar
ones with a double "s". Abraham Casada & Rhoda Hall of Wayne Co Ky have
descendants with all those spellings, in Kentucky, Tennessee, Iowa, Indiana,
Ilinois....my Claiborne County Tennessee grandmother spelled it Casada and
pronounced it like "Cassidy". Spelling and/or pronunciation changed as
families moved north and west.
My own line is Abraham & Rhoda; Reuben Casada & Rachel McCOY (E Tenn), John C
Casada & Nancy McAMIS(Tenn. to Iowa, Nancy back to Tenn); John Alexander
Casada & Mary Melvina WALKER (E Tenn). JOHN & Mary's 11 children to Indiana,
Kentucky, Michigan & Tennessee; spouses of these children, mostly from
Claiborne Co TN, are HOPSON, GOLDEN, McKENZIE, GRAY, WYLIE, GRIFFON, EVANS,
JANEWAY, McBEE.
I have photos & stories of John & Mary Casada & all their children, would
love to share.
