Hello All CASSIDY researchers,
Anyone out there who can point us in a new direction in our CASSIDY
research? Our CASSIDYs are in NFK back to the late 1700s at least. The 1841
UK Census was able to strongly hint our CASSIDY line was from Ireland. Now
what do we do?
Our 'oldest' CASSIDY so far then is:
Thomas CASSIDY, b. 1778, give or take a few years, in Ireland, married
February 1796 to Mary TRIPP(E) at St. Nicholas, Gt Yarmouth NFK. He died in
1850 in Gt. Yarmouth NFK age 82. Occupation: Tailor.
How do we find our line in Ireland?
Note that on the NFK Transcription Archives Pages
http://www.genealogy.doun.org/transcriptions/index.php
and the IGI there are other "CASSIDYs" of various spellings like:
CASAUDE
CAUSAUDE
CUPASIDE
CUPACIDE
CUFAUDE
CUFAVDE
CAFAUDE
CUSAUDE
Hoping for more CASSIDY cousins. We've got descdants and cousins...would
like to know our Irish roots.
Thanks for your input,
Debbie Paul
