As a part of my Cassidy line, I do have a Francis Gilbride (m. Margaret
McEnroe) and a daughter, Louise May Gilbride (b. 1879 in Rockport, MA).
Does this help anyone?

Ray,
Thanks for resending this. This is the first one I received. Do you
recall any other names being mentioned that you might be related to? Such
as: Fee,
Gilbride, Gilleese, or McGovern that might have been in Bpt.
My great-great-grandmother was Mary Cassidy m. 1855 to Andrew Fee. Their
son Andrew came to Bridgeport in 1880s married Nora Lynch there in 1885 and
returned to Fermanagh in 1890 and bought the family farm. My grandmother
Annie
Fee was born while they were in Bpt (Oct 1888) and returned in 1906. She had
lots of relative there, including the names mentioned above.
The Bridgeport library has a very good historical and genealogical
collection, second only to the state library in Hartford. They are also very
helpful. They could search the city directories for you and find where
Christopher
worked when he came to Bpt. They are very reasonable. They charge $5 plus
10¢ a
copy for each page. I got several obituaries and I think I sent them a check
for $10, which was almost double what they were asking. I think it was Sara
who
did the research for me. If you are interested, I can dig around and see if
I
can find the email address.
