Stephen,
In answer to your question (below) , I truly don't know. The copy I received is an
accurate reprint of the biographical sketch. I have no family left to verify the
information. At a time when people were happy living to 40 or so, 127 certainly sounds
extreme. For the story to have been handed down so far, I would imagine he was around a
little longer than the norm at least.
I'm afraid any article written regarding my 4th great grandfather would have no more
information than what has previously been offered. Happy to provide a paragraph or so if
you are still interested. Let me know. Might have to come under the heading of early
american Irish exaggerations. Hopefully, time & digging will tell.

Who's thinking "the luck of the Irish" might have been working for Jeremiah
Andrew Cassidy right up to his 127th birthday.

"Jeremiah Andrew Cassidy who fought in the Revolutionary War and
lived to the unbelievably great age of 127 years."
Could that be correct? If so I'd love for you to write a short article that
I could post on the Cassidy Clan web site and/or insert in our newsletter.
Thanks.
