I'm sorry that anyone would feel the need to apologize for sending some greetings
that would be meaningful to the very roots we are all researching on this list.
The verse certainly brightened up my bad mood, but I guess it doesn't always work
that way. Enough said, now here's my news.
I've found a book that was compiled by a relative around 1948. The book belonged
to my grandparents and is now starting to fall apart. It is called Descendants of
David (1867-1844) and Rachel Meek (1777-1845) CASSIDAY. David is said to have left
Co. Antrim in 1788 with 2 brothers. According to the book, they settled for a time
in Va. but there are no details. By 1800 David was living in Pa. and by 1802 had
moved again to Oh. My challenge is to find a ship's list that I hope will show the
names of David's 2 brothers and hopefully lead me to the link in Ireland.
Does anyone have any info on David, his brothers or the ship?
There were 2 pictures in the book and I have posted them to

Apologies to the list for my bit of Irish poetry this morning.
Have been told, and told off I suppose, and would like to add that although
this piece of mail is now "filling" up your mailbox, your mailing "my"
letter
back to the list did the same thing.
I do realize that the Gen lists are not for any other purpose other than
genealogy,,but this list has been rather quiet,if there is something amiss I
do not know, but "my" one piece of mail is the only one that I received from
the Cassidy list all day, until your reminder that I was wasting the mail time.
