CASSADY. My family uses the Cassidy spelling. Are these two families from

They are rthe same name, as far as I know the spelling indicate nothing
except that around the time when someone in the family family could write
and read enough English thius was the speling of the name by the local
officials or parish priest/minister (Catholic/Protestant).
