Houston's son is by brother-in-law. I am researching the family for him. I have the
info for Houston after he was "adopted" or taken in by Frank and Bessie. I am
trying to find the connection between Houston, or his family and the Defriece family.
Frank's father took in one of the boys, Elbert (Chick what his nickname). Elbert was
with the Defriece family in the 1930 and 1940 census, he passed away and Cindy Defriece
filled out the application for his military gravestone. Mrs. Barrow, the doctor's
wife, is who the stone was delivered to. He is buried in he Bethel Cemetery with Burton
and Cindy Defriece. Do you ever remember of the family talking about taking in these
boys? I have been looking at the Washington County Courthouse, because this is where the
family was in the 1930 census, and also at the Washington County Historical Society. Any
help will be appreciated.
