Simeon Youngblood born abt. 1808 in South Carolina, died 1868 in Benton County, Alabama
and that is where him and Milley are buried on land that they owned. Robert Newton
Youngblood was born 1834 in South Carolina and married Sina Johnston. I was told that he
deserted his wife and children. Robert and Sina children were: George Washington, John
Newton, Elizabeth and Minnie. Simeon and Milley children were: Robert Newton, Melican,
Enos J., Nancy C., George, Zania Rebecca (Yancey), Simeon Jr. and Andrew Jackson
Youngblood. Simeon Youngblood father was David Youngblood and his father was Thomas
Youngblood. Simeon Youngblood and Milley owned 39.72 acres of land in Mardisville,
Alabama, 40 acres in Lebanon, Alabama and 78.96 acres in Centre, according the Land
Office. Simeon war service records are: He served in Company "C", Unit 10
Battalion Georgia Infanctry, Rank at Indusction: Private, Rank at Discharge: Private.
Alleginace was to the Confederate. Simeon's grand!
father at his death, bequeath to Simeon at his father David's death beginning on an
ash corner on Ephrams branch all that parcel or tract of land lying on the waters of
Sleepy Creek thence to a pine corner on William Youngblood land. There is also a monument
in Pike County at the old courthouse grounds on the square which is in memory of
Confederate Soldiers and it lists a David Youngblood in Company "H".
