Samuel Loxley was born in Lancaster Co., Pennsylvania, in 1795. His son
Benjamin Franklin Loxley, born 1834 in Montgomery Co., Ohio, moved to
Miami
Co. at some point and had many children. That is the family I have
traced.
Maybe we can match up the families.

John,
John Cassel was born 1785 in Dauphin Co ( formed from lancaster Co in 1785)
He married Catherine Loxley in Hummelstown Zion Lutheran church in 1814 and
came to Ohio shortly after the death of his father, Frederick Cassel
(1737-1823). Samuel Loxley could easily have been her younger brother . They
might have come to Ohio as a family group as many pioneers did at the time.
Do you know where or when Samuel Loxley was married? He might have been
married in the same church ( Zion Lutheran) or even come to Ohio with his
sister and Brother in law as a single man.
John and Catherine had several children. She died and he remarried Lydia
Hittle and they had more children and went to Ill. where he died. Lydia
brought the children back to Miami Co. where they struggled to exist. Some of
the boys were bound out to their older half brothers who were established in
Miami Co. I have run into a number of descendents of this Cassel family and
would like to establish that John Cassel is indeed the brother of my ancestor
Frederick Cassel. the Loxley connection might help solve this problem. Do
you have any other details of the life of Samuel Loxley?
Hope I don't have you thoroughly confused. Maybe it will help solve the
riddles.
