While researching my Frederick ancestry, I found a reference that my ggg-grandfather
George and Catherine (Weil) Frederick resided with a William and Sarah Cassel according to
an 1850 census.
No location was given but knowing that my gg-grandfather, Benjamin Benneville
"Bramwell" Frederick was born in Franconia Twp of Montgomery Co., PA, I assumed
at least Montgomery Co for George and wife.
Found indication that a William Cassel was in Towamencin Twp in Montgomery. Found several
Cassel families on an 1849 Montgomery map I have, none stated Wm. though. I was hoping he
was tied to Henry Cassel of same area, who assisted the colonists in the Rev. War right
there in Towamencin. Found nothing to indicate it though.
If info about George was right, I wonder if my ancestor was staying with your ancestor
until he could get a place of his own? Interesting. Maybe this will help in some way.
