Catherine Ann Bretz, born 22 Sep 1824; died 12 Apr 1880; married Henry Cassel 03 Aug 1840;
born 30 Mar 1822; died 22 May 1863. Henry was born in Dauphin Co, PA, enlisted in the

have had a relative, William Cassell, who enlisted the same day with him, but who survived
the war.
Catherine Bretz and Henry Cassel had Elizabeth Caroline Cassel (Lizzie), who married
Leonidas Metcalfe Peyton. Lizzie died in her 20s but we have no official record of her
death or where she is buried.
