OK, first things first; The Poor House information I replied to was an answer to Betty
Lou's query.
You ask what happened to Sarah's children, I already covered that, although I left
Mary J, out. [her info UK]
Guess I wasn't clear as to who Henry's parents are and where they are from.
His parents:
Adam and Anna Hise Caseday - both b TN - 10 children.
Eldest son and wife:
James Henry and Sarah M D Nelson Cassady/Caseday- 4 children:
Elizabeth B 1843 -Mary J b 1844 -Adam b 1847- Margaret b 1850 - all born in TN
You thought they all lived in TN;
Adam, Anna and some of their family moved to Dade CO GA. According to family info, abt
1855. - 1859 Adam purchased land.[Documented]
About the Civil War records. What you may not know, not all soldier records have personal
information. For one,Georgia Confederate record's didn't include them. The record
cards I received from the National Archives doesn't have an age, where born, when or
where enlisted, absolutely nothing to prove it's my great grandfather's record.
The only thing I'm going on, it did state Jas H Cassady was killed. The numerous other
confederate soldier's I have located, same name {and/or various spelling) had
"survived" the war.
Had Henry been a Union Soldier, it would be a different story. They included personal
records. His Union brother, George, had pages of his service records!
I will get back to your post's and answer anything else I missed!
Bette
