I have to disagree with the grave-site issue. Having found nothing more than a death date
with the grave record leaves nothing to indicate that Henry Cassidy is James H Cassady.
(note:military records do not included James's middle name) So, I did a quick search
thru 20 military records for Henry Cassidy and Cassady.
The grave at Nashville National Cemetery may be for this soldier:
Henry Cassady
Company G Indiana 81st Regt'-Infantry
Residence,Indiana
enlisted,22 Aug 1863
Mustered out, 27 Dec 1862, Nashville, TN

You are right concerning the spellings of the Cassady name.
James H Cassady's father and family's, the early spelling was Casheda,Casady. The
family later changed to Caseday.
I will answer your other questions in a separate reply.
