I have a couple friends who are the grandson of the couple in the subject
line. If they have cousins here, I'll give Hillbilly and Bubba a quick
and dirty e-mail class and get'em online.
The furthest back they have family info is:
Findley L. Cass b circa 1900-1905
spouse: Addie Young b October 1907, Gum Spring Mt., outside Sparta,
Tenn.
Addie and Findley had a total of 13 children, 11 of whom lived to
adulthood, unfortunately they only have the names for 9 of them. Those 9
are:
(1) Mary Lee Cass: 1st husband was a Sparkman, 2nd hubby was Gains Gamble
(2) Charley Cass : was in the Navy. Had 2 sons--Steve and Frank
(3) James Melborn Cass (twin of Viola) b circa 1939/m Judie circa 1962/d
1969, Sparta, Tenn.
(4) Viola Cass (twin of James Melborn) : deceased
(5) Bertha Cass : married a man named Welch
(6) Hershal Cass : 2 children
(7) Willard "PeeWee" Cass
(8) Hubert Cass :
(9) Ellen Cass : married a man named Blue
James M Cass and wife Judie has two sons -- my friends Hillbilly and
Bubba:
(A) James Russell "Hillbilly" Cass b June 21, 1963: married Rita; had
daughter, Julie Ann 20Aug1983
(B) Charles Duane "Bubba" Cass b Aug 12, 1966: married Linda, had two
sons, David Russle 7Jan1994 and Curtis Duane 10Aug1997
When Charley (2) died unexpectedly, Findley and Addie adopted Frank, and
Bertha(5) adopted Steve; Frank and Steve were half-brothers.
James R (A) (from whom I got the above info and permission to post it
here) moved back to Tennessee when he was 12, but came back to the
Pacific Northwest a few years ago, with his daughter, Julie, and the
above info in his head.
Thanx for your time, folks.
