Hi Linda,
I had Cass's in Clark county Ill. and many in Iowa, I also have the Reed
surname in my family. I see that someone else has inquired about the
bible so I don't know how one decides who wants it. I'll leave that
decision up to you. Thank you for letting everyone know that you have
it. I can't imagine why anyone would get rid of it.

I am in possession of a large Bible belonging to Mrs. Sarah Jane
(Lawson)
Cass. Mrs. Cass married Robert Cass in 1840. The family location was near or
in Sangamon County, IL - Buffalo Hart. Other surnames listed include Lawson,
Sharp, Reed, Franklin, Matheny. I tried several years ago to locate any
relatives who wanted this Bible with no success. The Bible was found on a
city street in Springfield, IL - perhaps lost when someone was moving. It
is, however, in very good condition.
There is no charge for the Bible, but I will accept help with shipping
costs. I will send it to any family member who wants it. Please contact me
if you are interested in owning this Bible. I also have some research
information (which I will send with the Bible) found in trying to find
someone to take it.
