Naturally the plot thickens! There was a Nancy A. Cason, b.25 Mar.1831, Georgia. She was
the daughter of John William Cason b. 1796 SC and Matilda Swords b. 1796 GA.
They lived in Walton County, GA. Now Nancy Cason m. a William T. Oliver but I don't
know when. From that union there is a daughter Evie Oliver, b. Dec 1866.
Well Evie Oliver m. a Richard R. McCullers, probably in Walton County. The McCullers
family were close to the Swords family and the Cason family. A few marriages anyhow. You
mentioned that your Cason was buried in the Sword graveyard. Also known as the McCullers
Swords Cemetery.
LASTLY... and hear is a big leap of guessing.
Wondering if DOC Cason could have been a nickname that stuck. As in "Donald O
Cason... DOC or David O Cason"...
certainly a guess.
