I have read with great interest all the notes on the Casons. Perhaps someone
out there can help me on my line. This is what I know: my ggrandfather was
William G. Cason married to Mary Ann Hall. He was born around1827 in either
Orange or Greene County, Va. He fought in the Confederate army and died at
Gettysburg in Pickett's Charge. He had 4 children, 2 boys and 2 girls. I
don't know what happened to the girls but the boys were named Man and Will.
Man was my ggrandfather. William G. Cason said his parents names were
Benjamin and Elizabeth (Herndon, I think) on his marriage license. I am
trying to trace back from this point and am stuck. Does anyone know anymore
about this branch? I think it links back to Edward Cason (born 1767,Orange
Co. ) but am not sure. My Casons all stayed in Virginia (Orange, Madison,
Greene, Albemarle counties) Thanks for any help you all can give me.
