Hello Leif, I'm not sure if I replied to your message or someone else's but
I'll repeat my reply. I have been trying to find info on Francis Marion Casner for a
year. No one has pictures of him so far. Susan Ferris has a web site on the Casner,
Littlepage, Puttmum, ect. with some family pictures. She knows Em. I have talked to Em in
the past. How do know about his early work and where abouts ?
Thank you for this information. I had found the Calvin Lester Census in Texas and put two
and two together. I'm not a blood Casner but my sons are. I am a San Diego native and
had been to Julian, Warner Ranch, and spent summers camping thru-out the San Jacinto and
Palomar mountains so this history is very exciting to me to. I looked up Cahuilla on
google maps and have driven thru there in the past.
I found a 1902 news paper article thru this website about daughter Frances Marion
Casner-Kirkpatrick's wedding in Riverside CA. It mentioned her brother Ed attending
and her father leaving a stack of gold coins as a gift in the center of the gifts table. I
didn't save the article thinking I would go back to it and even though I have searched
for the article endlessly I can not find it again. I will be in Riverside June 6 and try
to take a picture of F M Casner's grave. Thought Mary Ann had died prior 1880. Did F M
remarry. ? Didn't find another Casner listed on the Greenwood Cemetery website. ~
