Audrey:
Thanks for responding to my post. This is one of the quietest boards I
belong to; am beginning to think, while the Casners were very prolific
in the 1800s that very few of them exist nowdays.
Unfortunately, your Casner line and my Casner line are not the same.
Once I make a determination that a line does not connect to mine, I
don't keep information on it; below are some that I have come across in
doing my research in the library. My line if from Jonas Casner and
Nancy Wright who married in 1801 in VA then moved to MO circa 1818. I
have identified ten researchers of this line and none of us have gotten
any further back than that (yet).
I have found Casner lines as follows (I am sure there are others):
(1)The Adam Casner line in NY; have only looked at this enough to
determine it is not my line.
(2)the Solomon Casner line (out of IL or IN); haven't determined if this
is one or two different lines.
(3) the Casner line in South TX; Em Wendel who has several posts on
different boards is researching this line.
(4)the Casner line in AZ (Maricopa Co)
(5) there are some Casners in UT - have not determined if they are
connected to my line or another line.
(6)my line mentioned above; found in VA, MO, AR, IA, OR, WA, CA, NM, NV
AZ, TX to mention a few locations (all in the 1800s)
Good luck in your research.
