Hello All:
I have been piecing together my Casner/Carsner family but still have
several gaps. Following are some that I have not been able to fit into
the line; would like to know something about these people.
First:
James 'Jim' Casner (b12-1839) is believed to be a son of Harvey Casner
and Jincy/Jane Fields Casner. He married Clementine Hayworth on
5-19-1858 in Linn Co., OR and on 12-1-1883 married Sarah R. Olney in
Grant Co., OR. DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY FURTHER INFORMATION ON ANY
DESCENDANTS OF THIS PARTICULAR FAMILY?
Second:
Sarah A. Casner married Joseph D. Combs on 2-26-1876 in Grant Co., OR.
They are on the 1880 OR census, Middle precinct. Joseph and Sarah Combs
appear on the census in the same area where the household of John Shelly
and Sarah Anna Jane Parkinson Casner Shelly appear. Also in the same
area on the census are A. G. Carsner and Warren Casner. I know that A.
G. Carsner and Warren Casner are the sons of Sarah Anna Jane Parkinson
Casner Shelly. To my knowledge S.A.J.Parkinson Casner Shelly did not
have a daughter. DOES ANY ONE KNOW WHO THE PARENTS ARE OF THE SARAH A.
CASNER WHO MARRIED JOSEPH COMBS?
Third:
There is record of Sarah Ann CARSNER who married George T. SIMMS in
Corvallis, Benton Co., OR on 10-12-1865. DOES ANYONE HAVE INFORMATION
ON WHO THE PARENTS MAY BE OF THIS SARAH ANN CARSNER. COULD SHE BE ONE
OF THE DAUGHTERS OF JOHN CASNER/CARSNER AND MARY FREEL CASNER. MARY
DIED IN 1852 ON THE OREGON TRAIL, NE. She may have been taken in by one
of the Freel families who settled in Benton County.
I have considerable Casner/Carsner information that I am willing to
exchange. The name Casner has several spelling variations.
