Hi Linda,
I have a Joseph Casler born in Herkimer County, German Flats, New York on
the 30th of March 1810. I have searched and searched for his parents and
siblings for years but have not been able to find them. He married in
Canada
and named his first child Solomon. I believe he went to Canada as a young
boy as he seems to be near a man who could be his uncle and was named
Solomon. Joseph died Apr. 1893 and is burried in Oxford Co. Can.
Since I have not been able to find Joseph Casler's parents I am still
looking but was one told he could have been killed working on the Erie
Canal
but have never been able to prove it.
