All I know is as follows:
Robert Caskey born 11 Nov 1782 in NJ. He owned and operated a successful farm at
Flanders. He has been referred to as "Captain", and may have belonged to the
Morris Co. Militia during training days or the War of 1812. In 1850 his real property was
valued at $3,000. In 1860 his real property was worth $5,000 and personal property worth
$800. At that time he was living with his son Robert, a widow, Dorothy Barstey and her
three female children in Roxbury Twp, Morris County, NJ. On 13 May 1810 he married
Elizabeth "Betsy" Salmon. He died 24 Nov 1868.
Elizabeth "Betsy" Salmon born 22 Jan 1787 in Roxbury Twp, Morris Co, NJ. On 28
Apr 1855 she died of dropsy in Roxbury Twp, Morris Co, NJ. She and Robert rest in Mount
Olive Baptist Cemetery.
