Hi!
I originally contacted the Caskey list with a question about a geographical
place named Caskey, probably in Ireland. I have an ancestor who lived in
Mercer, PA who has been presented to us as Mary Ann Arthur, daughter of
Arthur, Earl of Caskey, coming from Ireland. Have found many surnames of
Arthur there, but cannot seem to pinpoint any Caskey or why she'd bill
herself in that way [unless she was trying to impress the locals over
here!].
I'd appreciate any suggestions as to the solution of this mystery,
especially if anyone knows of an actual Caskey town/area, etc. in
Ireland. I'm trying to sort it all out for my 80-year-old mom, who really
would like to find the answer to this mystery at long last.
Thanks so much for your assistance!
Best wishes,
Judi Hunter
