Alexander Caskie was prominent man in Wayne
Wayne Feb 6 - Funeral services will be held Monday afternoon for Alexander
Caskie, 69, prominent farmer and
land ower of this community, who died at his home here this morning after
two years illness with valvular heart
trouble. Rev. Frank King, of Bloomdale, was to officiate.
Alexander Caskie was the son of William and Josephine Caskie, who migrated
to the United States from Scotland.
He was born April 25, 1863, near Carey and lived there through his boyhood
days. On March 28, 1889, he was
united in marriage to Emma Bressler at West Millgrove.
They lived in Wayne a number of years and then moved to a fine farm west of
the town where he made a very
successful living. He had struggled to success through his boyhood with
fatherly advice, since his father was the
victim of an accident when he was a small boy.
He was a fine Christian man, being a member of the UnionChapel Methodist
Protestant Church. He was a director
of the Farmer's Bank here for many years and a member of the village council.
He is survived by his wife, two sisters, Mrs. E. L. Wirebaugh and Mrs.
Anna McQuilian of Hokendaqua, Pa., and
two half brothers. H. H. and John Reynolds, of near Wayne.
Alexander married Emma Delilah BRESSLER, daughter of Phillip BRESSLER and
Sarah ( ? ), on 28 Mar 1889 in West Millgrove, Wood Co, OH. Emma was born
on 15 Oct 1870 in West Millgrove, Wood Co, OH. She died on 18 Jan 1946 in ,

Hazel Wirebaugh
Wayne - Mrs. Hazel V. Wirebaugh, 88, of 4234 Defiance Pike, died Wednesday
in Wood
County Nursing Home after a three-month illness.
She was a member of Wayne United Methodist Church and its Women's Society
of Christian
Service, Wayne Garden Club, Fin-De-Siecle card club and the Wayne Pythian
Sisters. She was
a 50-year member of the Pemberville O.E.S.
She was born July 18, 1894 inWayne to Mr. And mrs. Alexander Caskie (Emma
Bressler). She
married Elmer Wirebaugh Nov. 18, 1914 in Bowling Green. He died in 1974.
Surviving are cousins.
The funeral will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the church. Burial will be in
Graham Cemetery.
Rev. Rick Schlosser will officiate.
Visitation will be at Barndt Funeral Home, Wayne, Friday from 2 to 4 and 7
to 9 p.m. The body
will lie in state at the church from noon until the service Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the church or to the Wayne Public Library.

John W. Feasel was Fine Farmer
East Toledo - Oct. 19 - After being in poor health with diabetes for the
past year John William Feasel passed away
at this late residence at 1922 Owens St. here, Saturday. The immediate
casue of his death was pneumonia.
Funeral services are being held this afternoon at two o'clock at the
Rossford Funeral Home with Rev. Wilbur Bantz
of the First Church of Brethren officiating. The interment will be in the
New Bellville Ridge Cemetery at Dowling.
John William Feasel was born at West Millgrove on November 19, 1867 and he
was 74 years, 10 months and 28
days old at the time of his passing.
The greater part of his life was spent in Wood County as a teamster and
farmer. He was a teamster for the H. J.
Heinz Company about twenty years ago and farmed successfully for many years
near Grand Rapids.
On Nov. 19th, the anniversary of his birth, in 1917, he was united in
marriage to Nellie Long Patrick and she is left
to survive him.
He was a former member of the Loyal Order of Moose in Toledo. He was a
very careful and progressive farmer and
took extra particular care of his livestock and teams. Known as "Happy
Jack" Feasel in his younger days, he was a
very congenial neighbor and friend and was known as a great lover of children.
Besides his wife, he is survived by three step-children, Mrs. Helen Fluhart
of Bowling Green, Irwin Patrick of
Swanton, and Mrs. Laura McLaughlin of East Toledo. A brother George of Los
Angeles, California, also survives.
