I am hoping that there is a connection between your CASHMANs and CULLINANEs and mine. In
my case, the husband is a CULLINANE and the wife's mother was a CASHMAN. They married
in New Zealand but I do not know whether they knew each other back in County Cork.
Details are as follows:
Ellen BARRY (parents John BARRY and Ellen CASHMAN) married John CULLINANE (parents Timothy
CULLINANE and Mary KEOHANE) on 21st August 1870, in Hokitika, New Zealand.
- John CULLINANE's parents were farmers from the townland of Caherbeg/Cahirbeg (and
other spellings!), in the Schull/Goleen area of County Cork, Ireland.
- Ellen BARRY was born in Queenstown, County Cork (I understand that Queenstown is the
Cobh).
(Tried contacting you directly but your email did not appear to be current).
Grateful for the details you have. Looking forward to your reply.
