Thomas Cashon Sr. also spent the majority of his life in Chesterfield County, Virginia.
He married Frances Wilkinson who was the mother of his children and after her death he
married Sarah Jackson in 1795. He apparently was active in his community since Leonardo
Andrea shows him signing petitions regarding roads and mining. Thomas is the only one of
the three sons we have some suggestion of his birth date. In 1786 he paid poll tax, but
in 1790 he was exempt. Since a man had to be over 60 to be exempt, Thomas became 60
sometime between 1787-1790.

August 16, 1756 Thomas Cashon for 75 shillings for 229 acres on lower Wintopock Creek
adjoining James Cashon by Lt. Gov. and Commander in chief of our Colony Robert Dinwiddie,

given land and that land was adjoining.)

Thomas Cashion his mark
1783 Chesterfield County, Virginia Cashon, Thomas Sr. 3 in family - pg. 50
This Thomas had two wives 1 Frances Wilkinson and 2. Sarah Jackson m. 2-26-1795. Some
researchers believe that the youngest son Samuel Cashion was the son of Sarah. But as his
birth year is usually given as 1781 he was probably the son of Thomas and Frances. Samuel
had his first son in 1803, had Samuel been born after 1795 he would have been a very young
father. the Mack Wilkinson made Thomas' executor was the brother of his first wife
Frances.
