Have reason to belive between 1720-1750 3 brothers Authur, James, John
Cashion or Cashin or Cashon left Ireland to Jamestown, VA, then went to
Mecklenburg for my ancestors but some may have gone north or even west.
Orginal from Scotland went to Ireland as small land owners, but forced out
and came to Colonies as indentured servents.

I've been interested in reading about your Cashion/Cashin
research in
the US.
Have any of you traced your Cashin family back to Ireland?
My are James Cashin and Johanna Keating. Their sons Robert (1833) and
David (1835) came to the US (Massahusetes) in the late 1850x.
David and Robert were baptized at St. Marys and Sts Peter and Pauls in
Clonmel, Co Tipperary.
I haven't yet been able to go further back than James and Johanna.
I would love to find a connection.
