If the James Cashion you are referring to is the one in the Revolution from
VA/NC (b. ca 1755), married to Nancy Weeks, he was father of Archibald
Cashion, and possibly too old to be father of Avis. According to my notes
he moved to Lincoln Co., TN from Iradell Co. NC between 1810 and 1820,
since he appeared on the Iradell Co. 1810 census with a family of 8. He
may have died around 1820 in TN.
I have names of 6 out of 7 children from this marriage: William, Anderson,
Archibald, [unnamed son], Robert, Richard and Elizabeth. No Avis. This
information is from some handwritten notes left by my great aunt, Delia
Watson, and is not verified by me.
For Archibald, I don't have his wife's name, and only have the name of one
son, Andrew Jackson Cashion, which was sent to me by Gerry & Lynn (Cashion)
Coleman <coleman.gl(a)worldnet.att.net> in 1998. That doesn't mean he didn't
have any more children, just that I don't have any info on them.
Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Katherine

One researcher thinks Avis whitty Cashion was the daughter of James and
and Mary Cashion. Another researcher believed Avis was the daughter of
Archibald and Letty Shelton Cashion. Does anyone have information on
Avis and John Templeton that might help Marcia make her connection. As
always appreciate your help,
