We have one in the New Mexico sky at this moment, just
before dusk. The object is very bright, about one finger to
the left and two fingers above the evening star (Venus?)
The full moon is up in the southeastern sky. The object I
speak of appears to be roughly 1/4 the size of the moon
from this vantage point. My best guess would be a
world navigating balloon, though I have not heard of any
such attempt lately. (This certainly has nothing to do with
with genealogy. Just thought some of you might be
interested)
There is no perceptable movement. I just checked and it
has dimmed by greater than 50%. The sun is well down
over the distant western mountains. I neglected to say
that I view it from Alamogordo.
