My wife heard a radio report concerning the incident I
spoke of. Seems some people in El Paso released an
experimental balloon which happened to wander up our
way. Guess it got trapped in some dead air, and just
hung around for awhile. Angie is somewhat more
attentive to local happenings than I, including all of
the details. Sure glad I can pass on exactly what
happened, and why. You can all stand down from
invasion alert.
Now to more important matters: The FAMILY.
Connie,
Your letter of 9 Sept was one of those forwarded to me
when I learned of the Cashion-L site. Let me say first
that I second your comments.
There was one item above all others that caught my
attention. When going back thru your family line, You
show the original James as being (from): (Eng, Va).
Please believe me, gal, I am not trying to sharp-
shoot your files or their source. I, and many others,
I'm sure, would like to know if you have any
documentation as to the origins of James and Sarah.
All evidence so far points to them being hatched
under a rock somewhere in the vicinity of, what
became, Chesterfield Co., VA. (There has been
speculation that they came from Ireland. Propably
due to the personalities and deportment of some
individuals. Not exactly the staid, stiff upper lip
types. -You may know of what I speak. 'Course, there
has been quite a bit of diffusion and dilution over
the years. Maybe the stubborn, contrary streak
sneaked in that-away).
Do you have anything that would stand up in court?
Even the People's Court would do for starters.
Respectfully yours,
your humble servant,
Bob C.
