Chris, Rebecca who married William Joseph McAdams was the daughter of
David and Martha Mann Cashon/Cashion. Her siblings were Elza, Elizabeth,
Pleasant, Martin, Sarah, Sophia, Nancy, Annis, Mary Ann (Polly).
According to Rebecca she was born on a sworn deposition she was born in
1797 in North Carolina but dates were very unimportant to the Cashons.
David married a second time Iredell County, North Carolina 1800 to Mary
Gracey and again in 1813 in iredell County NC to Sarah Harvell. He had a
son, David Jr. with Mary Gracey and three more children, Cynthia, Emeline
and Pulaski with Sarah. David was a Revolutionary War solider and
claimed a pension. He was born in Chesterfield County, Virginia, fought
from Virginia and about 1795 he and his family moved to North Carolina.
He lived there until about 1807 when he moved to Sumner County,
Tennessee, then into Weakley County, Tennessee.
David was the son of William and Avis Whitaker Rudd Cashon
William was the son of James and Sarah ? Cashon of Chesterfield County,
Va
I have quite a bit of info on this line (her brother Pleasant is my
ancestor) and would like to have Rebecca's line since you are the first
person I have seen inquiring about her. She is also mentioned in a DAR
