3. THOMAS2 CASHON (JAMES1) was born Abt. 1726, and died Aft. May 1800.
He married (1) FRANCES WILKINSON in Chesterfield County, Virginia,
daughter of JOSEPH WILKINSON and JUDITH GARRETT. He married (2) SARAH
JACKSON February 26, 1795 in Chesterfield County, Virginia.
Notes for THOMAS CASHON:
Thomas Cashon Sr. also spent the majority of his life in Chesterfield
County, Virginia. He married Frances Wilkinson who was the mother of his
children and after her death he married Sarah Jackson in 1795. He
apparently was active in his community since Leonardo Andrea shows him
signing petitions regarding roads and mining. Thomas is the only one of
the three sons we have some suggestion of his birth date. In 1786 he
paid poll tax, but in 1790 he was exempt. Since a man had to be over 60
to be exempt, Thomas became 60 sometime between 1787-1790.
Patent #33 pg. 338, 1756-1761
August 16, 1756 Thomas Cashon for 75 shillings for 229 acres on lower
Wintopock Creek adjoining James Cashon by Lt. Gov. and Commander in chief
of our Colony Robert Dinwiddie, Williamsburg. (This was probably a gift
from his father and all three of the son were given land and that land
was adjoining.)

8. THOMAS3 CASHON (THOMAS2, JAMES1) was born 1758 in Chesterfield
County, Virginia, and died December 16, 1834 in Mecklenburg County,

Shadrack Clark, Jeremiah Clark, Allison Clark Jr., Phoebe Talbot - grand
daughter Tabitha Talbot, Wit Arthus Graves, peter Clark, and Jeremiah
Baugh
Haley Talbot was married to Frances Rudd who was a cousin of Avis
Whitaker Rudd wife of William Cashon. Haley's will was written in 1797
and he named children: William, Thomas, Tabitha, Haley Jr., Peter, wife
unnamed. In 1800 Peter orphand of Haley chose Jere. Baugh as his
guardian. They were closely connected with the Clarks and Rudds and
Cheathams. It is not impossible that Tabitha who married Thomas Jr. was
a Talbot. However since Peter was still a minor in 1800 and Tabitha was
born circa 1760, married circa 1780 it seems odd Haley did not name her
as Tabitha Cashon.
I also think that the Phoebe Talbot mentioned in the Clark will was
probably married to one of Haley's sons and the granddaughter Tabitha was
their child, not our Tabitha married to Thomas Jr.
I have a preference of Thomas' Tabitha being the daughter of Archer
Traylor who named in his will of 1800-1801 daughters Judith Cashon and
Tabitha Cashon. But I don't know if either theory will ever be proven.
L. Andrea * We were told that Tabitha Talbot married Thomas Cashion Jr.,
so he had no proof either. and the Judith I think was Burrels wife.

9. SAMUEL3 CASHON (THOMAS2, JAMES1) was born 1781 in Chesterfield
County, Virginia, and died Bef. 1842. He married ELIZABETH WILKINSON in
Chesterfield County, Virginia, daughter of MACK WILKINSON and MARY
JACKSON.
Notes for SAMUEL CASHON:
Samuel is well documented in Chesterfield County, Virginia through tax
records and deeds, yet his descendants show Brunswick County, Virginia
was the birth place of his children and also show Samuel's birth much
later than it must have occured. Since his father was deeding him land
in the mid 1790's and in 1794 deeded Samuel his household goods as well,
then his birth must have been born in the later 1770's or very early
1780's.
