Shirley,
On 5/7/00 you made the following statement
"My ancester, Elizabeth Gattis was the second wife of William Cashion. They
were married 9 July 1839 in Lincoln County, Tenn. They had a son named
William who married Elizabeth Shelton, 25 Nov 1852"
My gg grandfather William Cashion, b 11/18/1827, d 11/16/1861 married
Elizabeth (Betty) Shelton. They had a son, my g grandfather, Richard W.
Cashion b3/20/1851 and Richard had a sister, Mary Cincinatti Cashion, b
12/25/1854. These dates are true according to the records which I have copies
of. This William Cashion had a younger brother, James and both these boys or
men served in the civil war where William died at Camp Fisher, Va.of measles.
Mary Cincinatti Cashion married George Washington Street. BTY, do you know
what happened to Elizabeth (Betty) Shelton after William died??
Thought you might like to know, take care
Robert
P.S. There was a William Cashion that married Elizabeth Gattis but not the
couple you mention above.
