The veteran CASHION researchers probably have most of this but may want to
review your files to insure you are in possession of all material.
Chesterfield County, Virginia Deed Book 1725-1757, page 478:
A reference to John CASHON's land adjoining the land of Thomas Jones on
Winterpeck Creek, April 27, 1753.
Abstracts of the Wills of the state of South Carolina, 1670-1740, Vol. I,
page 113:
John CASHIN, Jr., witnessed the will of Mary PORTER in Berks County, South
Carolina on January 29, 1725.
Virginia Colonial Abstracts, Vol. 21, page 12:
James CASHOON paid taxes in cash. This also shows a balance due from last
year (1735).
Page 52:
James CASHOON paid an inspector 51 pounds of tobacco.
Chesterfield County, Virginia Will Book I, pages 299-300:
James CASHON's will, dated November 18, 1758. His property inventory is
listed on page 300.
Chesterfield County, Virginia Will Book II, page 59:
Sarah CASHON's will is dated April 23, 1761. The inventory of her estate is
listed on page 60.
"Index of Revolutionary Records in Virginia State Library" lists James
CASHION, Jr. as a soldier of the Revolution.
"Historical Register of Virginians in the Revolution" lists both James
CASHION, Jr. and Burwell CASHION as soldier's in the Revolution.
MY NOTE: Burwell CASHION and David CASHION are both "proved" ancestors for
the DAR. I joined DAR through David's service. Both of their Pension Files
are available through the National Archives.
All census records in Virginia, North Carolina and Tennessee should be
checked.
