Boy, I don't believe this Laura - fixin' to do some heavy work on my
computer and have been cleaning out and saving to a different location my
old emails. Came across yours about Ethel and Lena and just sent a email
off to you about them. Mother was Mollie M. McWherter, Dad Pleasant
Almery Cashon son of Joseph L, which would have made Lena, Ethel and
Emerson Sula's direct cousins and Wille's close cousins. Still don't know
who Pete Cashon was.
A. J. Cashon did marry a second time to Rena V. Bailey date 12-25-1884
-they were on the list you gave us the other day.
Wife of J. L. Cashon was Delila mother of Prudence and grandmother of
Sula
David's wife was Sarah Harvell (called Sally probably butthe census have
her as Sarah. And DB was David Boyd Cashon son of Pleasant Jackson and
Cynthia Allmerry Cashon but I think he was born in 1812 in Iredell
County, NC.
Now do you think Bowlin's mother or his wife started calling him "Pig" -
that's cute -have a Georgia cousin who married a "Pig" Vann - since he
was hung I thought it was denoting his character, but perhaps not.
Thank a heap for all this great info, helps fatten my files
