The marriage of David to ? Davis came from the Nash papers which were
submitted to the LDS 30 or more years ago. She was thought to be the
mother of Nancy, Sophia and Annis Cashon. Nancy, Sophia and Annis were
all born before 1800 and are listed inthe 1800 Iredell census living with
David and his new wife Mary Gracey. Unfortunately there is no census for
David in 1810 because the Tennessee census apparently were destroyed
except for Rutherford county and David was living in Sumner County Tn at
the time. But if he had married ? Davis and had the three above
daughters they would have been listed in the household with David and his
third wife, Sarah harvell in the 1820 census. If he married Davis in
1808 then the oldest daughter would have been 11 and the other two
younger than that in 1820. In 1820 the only children enumerated in
David's household at Cynthia, Emeline and Pulaski B. So if he married
Davis they either didn't have any children or he married her before 1800.
The ages of the three last children of David, Cynthia, Emeline and
Pulaski have always been taken from the Nash papers because they fit in
with David's marriage to Sarah harvell, 1813 and the 1820 census of
David's household - they may be a couple of year off one way or another.
Laura, we'll take all the information you are willing th share and
