My family is descended from William Cash.
I have never seen anything that said Pilgrims were brought her by a William
Cash. Not saying it didn't happen, just have never seen any such
documentation. The William Cash who owned the brigantine was not William
Cash of Westmoreland (who is supposed to be his newphew), but William Cash of
Salem, married to Elizabeth Lambert.
I have found record at the LOC in the Driver Family Genealogy that the ship
The Good Intent passed from William Cash of Salem down to his grandson
William Cash. I have copies of indenture contracts signed by those being
transported by a William Cash of London to the Americas and to Jamaica
(although I believe this Jamaica is not the islands, but an actual place in
what is now the eastern seaboard of the US).
Wiliam Cash, grandson, married a woman by the name of Christian. After his
death she remarried into the Crowinshield family, who were connected with
large shipping industry and politics.
