According to my emailer, this bounced, so I'm trying again. I think the
Willis Cash problem you are having is due to the fact that there were
several Willis Cashes in Arkansas at exactly the same time and place of
about the same age. Now, the John E you mentioned is not my John E. My
John E was down in Clark Co., and your John E is very likely his uncle.
So, what with one thing and another, I'd actually have to go get some files
out to look up the Willis' because I never could keep them straight.
Suffice it to say that I know of 2 who married in Clark Co. at about the
same time, Willis A 24 m. Mary J. Carter 16 on 12 Feb 1866 and Willis 25,
m. Jane Thornton 22 on 26 Jan 1867. I'm vaguely recollecting that these
particular Willis' or their wives (the Mary Jane Cash thing) were somehow
connected to the Isham Cash family from Antoine township on the Pike/Clark
border. Not much help, I know, but you either need someone with a fine
grasp of the John E family in the north or the Isham family to straighten
that one out, and I'd even have to go to the files to find someone to look
up for you. Ann
