My Cayces are in the Hopkinsville, Christian County, Kentucky area.
I can track them to Virginia
I also have 3 'Caseys', that may or may not be connected. One of them was
born in Tennessee. I really haven't attempted to trace that line as of yet.
I had a DNA connection to my Thomas family that pulled in two lines (Garrett
and Agee), that brought the Cayce line into focus. I still have not found
the connecting ancestor, but I do know that the Thomas women that married
into the Cayce line are related to my direct line somehow.
Meanwhile, I have tons of names and connections, and lots of new leads. I
don't have a Coughlin.............is there any other possible spelling?
What time frame are you working with?
I will be most happy to share anything that I can with you.
How's the weather down there? We're bracing for the new storm that is
moving in as I write. I don't like the snow, but I can live with it. The
winds however make me VERY nervous!

To Virginia in Seattle ( or anyone to whom this info might apply),
I have a Casey line I believe has some connection to Kentucky. Unconfirmed
at this point other than a child being born in Kentucky, unknown where.
That
was a Maria (Moria) Casey married to William Coughlin and they had a
child,
James born in Kentucky. My Casey family had thirteen children. The
youngest
was my Ggrandmother, Susan. She had brothers Thomas and Patrick;
sisters
Maria and Anne that we know of. Since most families may have moved to
areas
where other relatives had already settled we think there may be a
connection
in Kentucky. We just don't know where. We don't believe our
Caseys are
related to any native-born American Casey line, but one never knows for
sure.
If you can tell me where in Kentucky you found your Caseys, I might be
able
to do some research for our Casey line to see if there are any solid
connections.
Our Casey family (my GGgrandfather James and his family) resided in County
Mayo, Ireland. Don't know exactly how many of the family moved to the U.S.
Thanks and Best Regards,
Tom Schenk
