To some and to some degree it does matter and I'm sure the administrator can explain
why if that hasn't been done in a while or if not recognized.
The Subject line helps (many of us and especially if we participate in other Lists or our
schedules require us to filter some submissions) some of determine the content of
submissions.
Some "unrelated" replies/submissions can be interesting and even helpful but if
we need to filter what we read, such tools are intented to help.
