The Jackson Co., IL Casey family came from KY. I have done alot of
research on this family and the Kennedy family they married into. But
cannot connect them past begining born in KY and the Jesse Kennedy family
born in SC. As far as I can find there is no direct line to the other
Casey families in IL. An earlier Robert Casey is in the 1830 census with
the age of 60-70 years. He came with two (known) sons Henry and John. My
David Casey followed later with his family. They lived in the same area as
Peter Casey and his son Benjamin in KY but I do not believe they are
related to them either. There is a John Casey in the Nelson & Washington
Co.s, KY who served in the Rev. War. and was from IR. But again no proof
so far. Any one out there interested in this family? Many of these
families moved to NE in the next generation and I suppose worked on the
railroads being built there. They also were know for raising fruit and
plant orchards. From NE the families spread west to the states of
Washington, Colorado, Kansas. Wanda
