Thanks Wanda,
Yes, I have the passports that were issued to "A" Jesse Casey/Kasey. One was
issued in Georgia on 24 November 1801 "to pass to and return from the
Cherokee and Creek Nation". The second was on 30 April 1803 and it was
issued in Tennessee "to pass through the Cherokee Nation on his way to
Jackson County in the state of Georgia". My thought is this is the same Jesse
Casey traveling back and forth between Georgia and Tennessee - maybe looking
for a place to settle in Tennessee (Again no proof - just guessing). However
1834 is a long time removed from the dates on those passports. The Jesse
Casey who settled in Roane Co., TN was there by at least 1807 and can be
found in the court records there up until the 1830s. The Jessey Casey in
Murray Co., GA in 1834 is probably not the same Jesse Casey. I was hoping it
was his son Jesse E. Casey. I know it is supposed that he went directly from
Tennessee to Missouri and then Arkansas but I don't think so. Still trying to
prove that - 30 years and counting!

Vonda,
Remember they did get passes to go thru Indian Territory, I found it and
printed it out there was more than one Casey, inc., Jesse that got
passes. I just assumed that this was to go thru Ark. & Okla. Maybe it
was for wherever they went. Now when I go thru the foot high of printed
matreal on my desk, (know the feeling?) I will send it to the list.
