Roger...In this case Willis Casey's wife's given name was definitely Sinah,
not "Sink." It was apparently mis-transcribed somewhere along the line
because someone must have looked at the handwriting wrong and typed it up as
"Sink." Her name is found more than once in censuses, deeds, etc. as Sinah
or a variation, which doesn't sound like "Sink." - jh

They called my gg granfather Sinclair Casey (Sink or Cinc)for short. Either
spelling Sinc or Sink is still sounded the same. He was born 1799. Very
interesting.

Thanks for that explanation. The South Carolina Archives sent me (many years
ago) a typed copy of the Moses Casey will (All the other wills they sent
were copies of the original along with a typed copy) The witnesses were
listed
as Willis Casey, Sink Casey (Made her X) and Samuel G. Casey. I wondered
who
Sink was!
